I had the day off, and I had the car.

So I drove to the duck pond to snap the black swan.

Swan Family for Father's Day

My Miss 3 wants to visit the duck pond almost every day.
And when I can photograph these...I'm happy to take her.

A protective daddy swan and his family, for Father's Day.
(He came to tell us off for being too close after I took this one.)

Cygnets

I took the kids, their scooters and some stale old bread to the duck pond yesterday.
Our duck pond is fabulous, there is a walking track all the way around.
There are always so many different birds.
And there is always a family of ducks.
And a family of swans.
Yesterday we saw for the first time this season, the swans' babies, three cygnets.
They were absolutely adorable.
So cute and fluffy.
The kids and I wanted to pick them up for a cuddle, but if you've ever seen a protective mummy and daddy swan, you would know that is not a good idea!
