Churches

My son made his First Reconciliation last night.
We've been to the church more often in the last month than I have since I left home.
I used to go every week with my family when I was a child.
And I love the feeling that I get when I go now, it brings back lots of good memories.
I just wish I wasn't so lazy and went more often!

Here are some of the churches around our town.
I love beautiful, big, old churches.
New ones just don't have the same *soul*.

The only one we can't see from our place is our church, the Catholic church.

Heritage

I adore old buildings.
This restored (and relocated) old church is absolutely stunning.
It is now the home of Heritage Wines restaurant and function centre.
It's also their wine tasting room.
It was set up for a wedding later that day and was so beautiful we all wanted to get married again...here!
The views, we were told, were stunning, too. But sadly we were in the clouds that day and couldn't see them.
One of the things I loved, apart from it's beauty, was its smell. I was hit by the smell of an old church the minute I walked in the door.

Our Church

Yesterday I showed you the cross.
Today I'm showing the full picture.
Our church...St Patrick's...

A special Sunday morning photo today.
I took this while I was walking past our church a few weeks ago.

Stained Glass Window

For this lovely Sunday morning, I'm putting on my photo of the stained glass window in our local church.
It's a beautiful old church with stunning windows.
