I always laughed at people with big fancy cameras, and said I didn't need one like that.
Then we went and bought one.
And I was bitterly disappointed to learn it doesn't take macro with the standard lens.
I knew I wouldn't be able to zoom as much as I can with my point & shoot.
But I did think I would still be able to take extreme close ups.
Seems I can't, or haven't found how to yet, without buying a new lens.
Something we hadn't planned to do for awhile.
So, as 90% of the photos I take are macro or zoom, it's not what I need.
I'm sure it will take fabulous photos of other things, I just don't do that much 'other things' photography.
Anyway...I'll get over it.
I'll learn what my new Nikon D3100 can do.
And I'm sure I'll love it...eventually.
But until then I'll continue with my little Nikon Coolpix S8000, which I love!
