Mount Coolum Climb

Yesterday the whole family climbed Mount Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.
My husband found it EASY!
I found it HARD!!
Miss 6 was a little trouper almost to the very top...and all the way down.
Our 9 year old boy.....well let's say it wasn't his thing! Although he did say he wants to do it again once we were back in the car. NOT what he was saying all the way up AND all the way down!
We did it in 1 hour 10 mins, yay us!

Off we go!

The first view
The next view

LOTS of steps!

Almost to the top

Clive's dinosaur!

Nearly there....

We made it!!

The Glasshouse Mountains

And....back down again

Mount Emu (Peregian Mountain)

On the 17th of August the photo theme for FMS photo a day was "Exercise".
And the Saturday theme for my 365 Days in Nature group was landscape.
So I suggested that we climb Mt Coolum for exercise, and I could get some great landscape shots while we were at it.
But Mt Coolum was a little more difficult than we had time for so we climbed the very easy Mount Emu instead.
It would have only been about 20 minutes up and back but there were 360° views from the top.
You get that lovely "being on top of the world" feeling.
