365 Days In Nature - February 2014

I began taking a nature photo on the 1st of January 2013.

My goal was to take one every day for the whole year.
I achieved that, now I'm back for another year.

I started a Facebook group to share our nature photos.

It has grown to more than 200 members from all around the world.

And it's the best group on Facebook.

No, I'm not at all biased!

Day 32 - 1st Feb - Saturday Theme: Purple From Dave's (the neighbour) garden.

Day 33 - 2nd Feb - We missed the little rose yesterday because it was purple day. But here it is today...

Day 34 - 3rd Feb - Continuing to change...less yellow, more pink.

Day 35 - 4th Feb - The final photo of the rose....voilà...it's pink!

Day 36 - 5th Feb - I was very excited to find deer just outside Kenilworth on a recent drive. I've never seen them this close before.

Day 37 - 6th Feb - A butterfly or moth on its last 'wings'. It just fell off the rail after I took this. How do you tell the difference again?

Day 38 - 7th Feb - We haven't had much rain lately but there's been just enough for this to pop up in our garden pot.

Day 39 - 8th Feb - Saturday Theme: Mountains - The most iconic mountains around here are the Glasshouse Mountains. This was taken from the Maleny Botanic Gardens...a magical spot!

Day 40 - 9th Feb - Pretty berries in my mother-in-law's garden.

Day 41 - 10th Feb - Pretty pink flowers...again from my mother-in-law's garden.

Day 42 - 11th Feb - Cool clouds in the sky yesterday afternoon.

Day 43 - 12th Feb - A pretty afternoon visitor.

Day 44 - 13th Feb - The pretty blue sky this morning.

Day 45 - 14th Feb - Sometimes when things go wrong it makes it even better. Happy Valentine's Day!

Day 46 - 15th Feb - Saturday Theme: LOVE - Love birds...sweet Little Corellas.

Day 47 - 16th Feb - We took a drive out to the block this afternoon. It was HOT and it was windy. But there's nothing like looking up into our gum trees. The sound of the rustling leaves is on a par with flowing water for me...so peaceful.

Day 48 - 17th Feb - Another one from the block yesterday...I wish it would rain!!

Day 49 - 18th Feb - It has been so hot and dry for the past few days that my poor Poinciana has closed up it's leaves!!

Day 50 - 19th Feb - I love this tree on the block next to ours.

Day 51 - 20th Feb - Still dreaming of one day enjoying this view from my kitchen window...

Day 52 - 21st Feb - Yesterday afternoon's clouds...if only they were rain clouds...

Day 53 - 22nd Feb - Saturday Theme: Birds - Seagulls in flight, my favourite bird photo.

Day 54 - 23rd Feb - Rain clouds!! Come on rain, POUR down!

Day 55 - 24th Feb - A weed...it's about the only thing surviving and thriving in the yard at the moment.

Day 56 - 25th Feb - I love our lime tree!

Day 57 - 26th Feb - A lovely afternoon in our backyard. The weather has finally cooled down a bit, but still no rain.

Day 58 - 27th Feb - I absolutely adore the gum trees on our block...it will be a very sad day when we have to chop them down.

Day 59 - 28th Feb -  Another slightly different view from yesterday. Hopefully we can keep the tree on the left. And I love the view of the hills across the creek. Shame it's so brown...still no rain...
