At the beginning of 2013 I began a 365 Project called 365 Days In Nature.
This year I'm continuing that one and starting a new one called 365 Days of Man's Mark on the World.
This year I'm continuing that one and starting a new one called 365 Days of Man's Mark on the World.
My goal is to take a photo of something man made every day for the whole year.
I've started a Facebook group to share our photos.
If you want to join us, you can find us here... 365 Days of Man's Mark on the World
Day 62 - 3rd Mar - Sticking with signs...this pretty sign greeted us at Kenilworth yesterday. A pretty sign for a pretty town!
Day 65 - 6th Mar - About this time last year it wasn't so dry, in fact we had 3 floods in 6 weeks! This one turned our River Road into an actual river!!
Day 66 - 7th Mar - The last sign for the theme...my boy peeking through the sign at one of our favourite picnic spots.
Day 67 - 8th Mar - Weekend/Weekly Theme: Nature & High Tech - I was unsure what to do for this theme, until I remembered the robotic dairy and milk processing plant at the family farm. So I'm starting with one of the robots that milk the cows. Yes, there is a cow in there, you can see her legs and the milk in the small tank.
Day 68 - 9th Mar - Nature & High Tech - The factory that they built on the family farm last year to process, bottle and store the milk is pretty high tech!
Day 69 - 10th Mar - Nature & High Tech - It's a back scratcher for cows! Yep, that's all it does. But the cows love it...just a little pampering as a reward for coming to the robots to be milked.
Day 71 - 12th Mar - Nature & High Tech - The massive free-stall barn built on the farm last year with gel mats to keep the cows cool in summer. It was certainly worth it when they had the hottest day on record at 45° in January.
Day 72 - 13th Mar - Nature & High Tech - The calves are even fed robotically on the farm...fully automated!
Day 73 - 14th Mar - Nature & High Tech - The Channel 7 news chopper leaving the farm after filming the Launch Day of 4REAL Milk last June.
Day 74 - 15th Mar - Weekend/Weekly Theme: Tessellation and/or Pattern - We have two of these on the back wall of our house.
Day 75 - 16th Mar - Tessellation and/or Pattern - They're going to be mostly from around our house and yard this week. Here are some stepping stones/pavers that my husband put down in the backyard.
Day 76 - 17th Mar - Tessellation and/or Pattern - We visited my mother-in-law on the weekend so I won't have to bore you with our backyard all week! This one is her security screen and blind.
Day 78 - 19th Mar - Tessellation and/or Pattern - A pattern created by who-knows-what on this tree stump beside the pool at my mother-in-law's.
Day 80 - 21st Mar - Tessellation and/or Pattern - The final pattern for the theme is on the ceiling of our church.
Day 81 - 22nd Mar - Weekend/Weekly Theme: Trash & Treasure - I have a friend who's husband started collecting old and rare bottles. Their collection has grown over the years to include many old and interesting things from the past. Someone else's trash is definitely their treasure! Their house and garden look better than our local museum. This week all of my photos will be from Sandy's place. Today's photo is part of the bottles collection.
Day 82 - 23rd Mar - Trash & Treasure - The next piece of treasure from Sandy's house is a door from a gaol that Ned Kelly was locked up in. Sandy is not saying he was behind this actual door...but it was from that era so...maybe....
Day 83 - 24th Mar - Trash & Treasure - Another treasure that was someone else's trash at Sandy's place.
Day 84 - 25th Mar - Trash & Treasure - It's not just bottles at Sandy's place...there's lots of car memorabilia as well.
Day 87 - 28th Mar - Trash & Treasure - My final photo from Sandy's place is of something close to both of our hearts. Memorabilia of the Royal Family. She was recently given these treasures after a family member passed away. We both took great delight in them!
Day 88 - 29th Mar - Weekend/Weekly Theme: Locomotion - A fun was to get around at The Big Pineapple.
Day 89 - 30th Mar - This is one of the historic trains in our town. I'm hoping to be able to snap the most famous engine today, "The Mary Valley Rattler".
