More water lilies from the Cooroy Botanical Gardens.
Why?
Because I love them!

Reflections in the Flood
Yesterday our town was flooded again!
That's twice in two years.
We were not affected at all.
I couldn't wait to get out and about and take photos of it!
So this week I bring you...flood photos.

Agapanthus
I love blue flowers. And these are my very favourite.
My dream is to one day have agapanthus in my own garden.
They're just so gorgeous.

Yellow and Orange Flowers
I found these delightful flowers on a small shrub in my mother-in-law's garden.
I have no idea what they are. Do you?
But they look a little like hot air balloons, don't you think?

Cattle Egret in Flight
I took my new lens to the duck pond for the first time yesterday.
The duck pond is on of my favourite places to take photos.
There are so many different types of birds, the pond, plants, flowers, perfect!
The islands in the middle of the pond are currently bursting with new cattle egrets, just learning to fly.
They're so cute with their snowy white tufty heads.

Lake MacDonald
The Cooroy Botanical Gardens are situated right beside Lake MacDonald.
That makes for some lovely water views.

Blue Water Lily
Today we visited the Cooroy Botanical Gardens for the first time.
It's quite run down, I'd say it needs a few more gardeners, but I'd imagine it would cost a fortune for upkeep because it's pretty big!
But there was a heap of great things to photograph so I was in heaven.
I got so many shots that I love, but I'll start with my favourite.
Our local duck pond has waterlilies but they're boring white ones.
I've wanted to snap blue ones for ages...or purple or pink.
There were all of these colours today!

Lemon Migrant Butterfly
My most recent photography quest is to capture a butterfly.
Those gorgeous little fluttery things fly so fast though!
I haven't been able to snap one in flight.
And they never seem to stop.
So when this one flew past yesterday, and I said, "Just sit down, will you?", and it did, I couldn't believe my luck!
It's not great, I'm still on the hunt for a better photo.
But I do quite like this one.
After a little Googling, I believe this butterfly is called a Lemon Migrant Butterfly.
