Usually, I love Mother Nature.

But she has been very unkind to our town lately.

Day 31 - 365 Days In Nature

The flood water may have gone

but it has left a rather large calling card.

Just two weeks ago the duck pond was the lowest I'd ever seen it.

This tree is right beside the pond.

The flood level is half way up!

Needless to say the pond is now full...

of water and dead fish...ewwww.

Another Year - Another Flood!

What a shock this flood was!
No weeks of rain, no warning.
Just three days of a ridiculous amount of rain (approx 400mm/16in).
And this is what happened...
At the moment it's higher than 2011's 19m and still rising.
While it's shocking and devastating...it's also an incredible spectacle.
