365 Days In Nature - Day 116

Today while my husband was climbing to the top of Mt Cooroora, I took a little stroll around the base...

Mt Cooroora at Pomona

Last week my husband had Friday off work.
So after I took the kids to school we drove to Pomona.
He climbed the mountain...Mount Cooroora.
I walked about 100m and took some photos!

Mt Cooroora. My husband climbs to the top regularly.
I tried once...didn't make it!

365 Days In Nature - Day 82

I've decided to keep the rest of my Cooroora Mountain photos for a Wordless Wednesday post.
This morning we went out to the block to do some whipper-snipping...well my husband did, not me.
I took this.
It's as pretty as a picture.

365 Days In Nature - Day 81

Today my husband had a day off.
After I dropped the kids at school he decided to go for his usual mountain walk at Pomona.
And I decided to go with him.
Not to do the walk!
I walked about 100m up the track to take some photos.
I might post a few of them over the next few days.

365 Days In Nature - Day 62

Another one from the block today.
I love that we can see cattle.
And look how green it is now!

Day 39 - 365 Days In Nature

We drove out to the block again this afternoon to see if it had 'greened up' after the rain.
It surely has!
Can't wait for this to be my view every day!!

Day 4 - 365 Days In Nature

I'm really looking forward to eating the lemons from this little tree.
It's the first tree for our planned citrus orchard on our new block.

Look Up

Here's another photo from our bushwalk at Binna Burra.
I love looking up in the rainforest.
Does it make you a bit dizzy?

Moss or Lichen?

I took this on one of our bushwalks at Binna Burra.
It was growing on a tree and I don't know if it's moss or lichen, or something else all together.
Do you know?

Rainforest

Yet another photo from my girls' weekend at Maleny.
This is the rainforest walk at Mary Cairncross Reserve.
I just love Maleny!!

View

This was just one of the many gorgeous vistas on the walk to the Kondalilla Falls on Saturday.
I could look at a view like this all day.

Old Boot

Yesterday I got a new lens for my Nikon D3100!
It's a Tamron AF 70-300mm tele-macro.
Spoilt? Me?? YES!!
It feels huge and of course I've been out playing with it already.
I went for a walk yesterday afternoon to take photos of flowers in the trees and neighbours' gardens.
But I couldn't resist snapping this...

This boot has been stuck on this tree in a garden in our street for years!

Questions for avid shutterbugs with more than one lens -

How often do you change your lens?
It is difficult?
How do you juggle them?

Flame Tree

The jacaranda season is almost over.
Now we have flame trees.
Stunning!

Storm

Today's photo is the final farm photo for the week.
On Saturday afternoon a big black storm rolled over.
There was wind, lightning, thunder, rain, hail...the usual storm stuff.
This photo was taken from Mum's front door at 3:30pm, it was so black it felt like night time.

Mulberries

The tree is actually in the neighbours yard, but half of it hangs over our fence, so we have these little delights to enjoy every spring.
Miss 4 saw this photo and said, "A rainbow!"
It does look a bit like a rainbow of mulberries, doesn't it?
And by the way, they are delicious!!
