I took this photo on the family farm last year.
I love the contrast between old and new.

Red Hibiscus
Here's a beautiful summery flower for you...for the middle of winter!
Another one from my mother-in-law's garden.
She must think I'm a little crazy, I'm always wandering around her garden with my camera!!

White Faced Heron
I didn't mean to have a run of birds here but this gorgeous creature was in my mother-in-law's garden when we visited yesterday so I just had to snap it!
No, it is not a statue. It is real.
I knew it was a heron but I had to Google it to discover it is a white faced heron.
Beautiful, no?

Willy Wagtail
Yesterday we went for a picnic in the country.
We love to do that.
All we do is pick a road out of town (not the highway) and drive for about 10 mins.
We always find somewhere nice.
Yesterday I captured this little guy as we sat on our picnic blanket eating our ham & cheese rolls.
Cute, isn't he/she?

White Stitches
I adore this photo because I love this flowers.
But I especially love the little white dots that look like a row of stitching around the petals.

Fountain
I've just been to the duck pond with my Miss 3.
It's a gorgeous day, I think my nose is burnt!
There are four fountains in the ponds.
I love this one.

Pink Rose
Today I need a big bunch of these...
Pale pink roses are my very favourite.
I took this photo in my aunty's garden.
Her name happens to be Rose and she has the most amazing rose garden.
I love Aunty Rose's roses!

Lorikeet
This was one of the first photos I took using the zoom on my new camera.
I was pretty happy with this little guy in the tree of our front yard.

Surfers Paradise
This was taken last September on our family holiday at Coolangatta.
We had awful weather for the whole week.
But I think they grey clouds work in this photo.
And I love how you can see Surfers Paradise way in the distance.

Sunny Yellow Flower
Another flower.
Another weed.
I love weeds, they're so pretty.
This was growing between the rocks in my mother-in-law's garden.
And it is tiny!
Macro is my favourite setting!!

A Seal & A Face
This photo was taken last September at Underwater World.
I was a parent helper with my Prep boy (at the time)'s class.
I took a lot of photos on that day, no surprise there, and loved the ones I caught of this delightful seal who really turned on a show.
I've looked at this photo many times but it wasn't until yesterday when it popped up on my screensaver that I noticed something and was very surprised.
Of course the seal is gorgeous, look at his eyes!
But staring at me yesterday, was the ghostlike reflection of my little boy in the glass.
I had never noticed that before!
Of all the children standing in front of the glass window...his is the only face that you can see clearly.
And the look of joy on his face is so beautiful.
I still can't believe it.
I now think this photo is amazing!

Sunset and Clock Tower
I just love the colours of sunsets.
The way the sky blends from orange to blue.
Here's another one, with the bell tower in our town.
Taken last night from the highest point in our backyard.

Sunset Ferry
The theme for today on the 30 Day Photography Challenge is
sunset
I know my first post, only last ten days ago, was a sunset.
But here's another one I kinda like.
It was taken in March from the ferry to Stradbroke Island.
I was with seven college friends heading to our girls' weekend.
We were most impressed that we managed to catch the sunset ferry, without even realizing it.

Orange Daisy
Let me warn you now, there will probably be a lot of flower photos on this blog.
I take loads of photos of flowers.
I love flowers!
And I was so excited when I saw what I got with this one.
I don't know the name of the flower, do you?
But I love the rain drops and the colours.
I think this is my favourite photo so far.

Clouds
The gorgeous Chantelle over at Fat Mum Slim has issued a 30 day photo challenge for the month of June.
I've missed the first couple of days, but I will be joining in here...when I feel like it. :)
Today's challenge is clouds.
Here's a favourite cloud photo that I took in April.
