Blue Water Lily

Today we visited the Cooroy Botanical Gardens for the first time.
It's quite run down, I'd say it needs a few more gardeners, but I'd imagine it would cost a fortune for upkeep because it's pretty big!
But there was a heap of great things to photograph so I was in heaven.
I got so many shots that I love, but I'll start with my favourite.
Our local duck pond has waterlilies but they're boring white ones.
I've wanted to snap blue ones for ages...or purple or pink.
There were all of these colours today!

  1. Good pic would have liked to seen you look from above right down to on top of the flower to pick up the nice colours.

  2. Gorgeous photo Thea! I caught a waterlily today too, but was from a distance. Would love to have a closer look at them.

  4. It is a bitterly cold day here in Italy so I am staying warm and cosy by the fire and catching up on my blog reading. I am happy to be back and catching up with all your recent photos. I imagine you were in photographers heaven at the gardens!
