This was our view from the hotel balcony on Friday afternoon.
A hazy Glasshouse Mountain.
I believe this one is called Mount Coonowrin

Rainbow Lorikeet
I have put a couple of photos on of rainbow lorikeets already.
But you can never have too many of these gorgeous little guys, can you?
I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to catch this one yesterday.
I had just been walking around the block at my mother-in-law's to snap flowers and this little birdie flew into the tree right above my head as I was about to walk in the back gate.
I had my two cameras with me, of course, so I quickly grabbed the Nikon S8000, zoomed as far a I could, and captured this just before it flew off.

Roses
One of the mums in our mums' groups gave me the most gorgeous bunch of roses from her own garden for my birthday this week.
Here they are.
See, aren't they pretty?

The Wiggles!
Day 5, second last Wiggles photo.
I love this one because you can see all of the Wiggles in action.
(Murray is in a strong-man suit because the were singing 'Getting Strong')
It's just a shame the huge metal scaffolding is in the shot.
Although, I guess if it wasn't there...we wouldn't have been in a tent!

Ballet Dancer
Day 4 of the Wiggles concert photos.
And this one is my second favourite.
I've always loved ballet and so does Miss 4.

Acrobats
Photo No.2 from the Wiggles Concert is my favourite shot of the day.
There is not a Wiggle in sight, but I love this photo.

Big Red Car
Yesterday Miss 4 and I went to the Wiggles Big Birthday Party Concert in a big top tent!
We LOVED it!!
So....this week will be all Wiggles photos.
We weren't really close, but close enough.
It was in the round and they kept moving around the stage so everyone had a good view.
I was juggling my two cameras...I know I know...I'm a total camera nerd!
Here's the first one...The Big Red Car!

Storm
Today's photo is the final farm photo for the week.
On Saturday afternoon a big black storm rolled over.
There was wind, lightning, thunder, rain, hail...the usual storm stuff.
This photo was taken from Mum's front door at 3:30pm, it was so black it felt like night time.

Fire on the Farm
Not a pretty picture today.
This is the hay shed on my family's farm after the fire.
It's the brand new shed, only a few years old.
It housed the round bales.
It was full, around 400 bales.
And practically nothing could be saved.
The burning hay was dragged out of the shed and left outside.
This photo was taken six days later, after two storms and 4 inches of rain.
It was still smouldering!

Duck for Dinner
I don't think I've put a food photo on here yet. So here's the first. I've put lots of duck photos on from the duck pond. But Friday night, I had duck for dinner for the first time at Capelli on Duke.
Organic Confit Duck served on a spicy pumpkin pate with imported white figs marinated in pedro ximinez and a drizzle of 69% Bolivian chocolate infused jus ...to be precise!
And it was delicious....mmmm mmmmmm

Bunch of Flowers
The last time we visited my mother-in-law she had a gorgeous bunch of cut flowers on her kitchen bench.
So I just had to snap them!

Spoonbill
When we were at the duck pond last week, we spotted this funny looking guy.
I hadn't seen a spoonbill since I was a kid.
It looks like a crazy cartoon character!
