Rainbow Lorikeet

I have put a couple of photos on of rainbow lorikeets already.
But you can never have too many of these gorgeous little guys, can you?
I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to catch this one yesterday.
I had just been walking around the block at my mother-in-law's to snap flowers and this little birdie flew into the tree right above my head as I was about to walk in the back gate.
I had my two cameras with me, of course, so I quickly grabbed the Nikon S8000, zoomed as far a I could, and captured this just before it flew off.

  3. Awww he is so cute Thea and what a fabulous, clear shot. I always struggle to photograph birds, just don't have enough zoom on my little camera xo
