Bougainvillea

Bougainvilleas are gorgeous, aren't they?
But did you know the bright colourful part is not the flower?
The flower is tiny and white in the centre. The coloured bits around it are called bracts.
Don Burke taught me that! :)

  1. I had no idea Thea, what a great fact! Bougainvilleas are gorgeous, but they are so tricky with those nasty thorns. Who would have thought something so beautiful could be so precarious!?
