Orange Trumpets

This vine, the orange trumpet creeper, is growing prolifically on the fence line between our house and our neighbours. We didn't plant it but I do love it. Orange is not one of my favourite colours (it is my 6 year old boy's favourite colour), but it is so spectacular and the little flowers really do look like trumpets.

    This to me is Brisbane in autumn and winter. Orange trumpets on fences everywhere.

    It is one of the (very) few exceptions I make to my (hatred of) orange rule.
