Cygnets

I took the kids, their scooters and some stale old bread to the duck pond yesterday.
Our duck pond is fabulous, there is a walking track all the way around.
There are always so many different birds.
And there is always a family of ducks.
And a family of swans.
Yesterday we saw for the first time this season, the swans' babies, three cygnets.
They were absolutely adorable.
So cute and fluffy.
The kids and I wanted to pick them up for a cuddle, but if you've ever seen a protective mummy and daddy swan, you would know that is not a good idea!

  2. Oh my goodness. I just want to squeeze them till their little beaks pop off. OK, maybe not that far.

  3. Oh I love this photo Thea. The sparkle on the water gives it a magical feel. Those little cygnets are SO beautiful and it looks like you got pretty close for having their Mama right there too! I totally know how protective they can be also, those big black swans are not to be messed with... I think I've mentioned that to you before! ;o) xo
